Test de Fuga WebRTC

Verifica si el WebRTC de tu navegador está revelando tu dirección IP real, incluso con una VPN activa. El test se ejecuta automáticamente.

Verificando WebRTC...

Testing whether your browser leaks IP addresses via WebRTC.

What is WebRTC and why does it leak your IP?

WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is a technology built into modern browsers that enables video and audio calls directly in the browser, without plugins. It is used by Google Meet, WhatsApp Web, Discord, and many others.

The problem: to establish peer-to-peer connections, WebRTC needs to discover your real IP address — and it does this using STUN servers. This process happens at the browser level and completely bypasses the VPN tunnel.

This means that even when using a VPN, a website can use WebRTC to discover your real IP. It is one of the most dangerous and least known privacy leaks.

The solution is to use a VPN that blocks WebRTC leaks automatically (like Escudo VPN) or to disable WebRTC manually in your browser settings.

Preguntas Frecuentes

What is a WebRTC leak?
WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is a browser technology used for video and audio calls. The problem is that WebRTC can reveal your real IP address directly through the browser, even when you are using a VPN, completely bypassing the VPN tunnel.
How do I know if I have a WebRTC leak?
Use our free test above. If the test detects IP addresses different from your public IP (especially local IPs like 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x), you have a WebRTC leak. If you are using a VPN and WebRTC shows a different IP from the VPN IP, your real IP is exposed.
How do I disable WebRTC in the browser?
In Firefox, type about:config and set media.peerconnection.enabled to false. In Chrome, you need an extension like WebRTC Leak Prevent. The easiest way is to use Escudo VPN, which blocks WebRTC leaks automatically without any configuration.
Does Escudo VPN protect against WebRTC leaks?
Yes. Escudo VPN automatically blocks WebRTC leaks in all browsers. Our app configures firewall rules that prevent WebRTC from revealing your real IP, without disabling useful features like video calls.
Do WebRTC leaks affect all browsers?
Most modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, Brave) support WebRTC and can leak your IP. Safari has partial protection. Mobile browsers are also affected. The safest approach is to use a VPN with built-in WebRTC protection.
